About Dodgeville
This storied community, dating all the way back to the 1820s, sits snugly amongst sandstone bluffs, steep hills, and the rolling hills and farmlands of the Driftless Area. Dodgeville is home to Wisconsin’s oldest active courthouse and offers many neighborhood options for housing, including many older homes and even affordable newer homes.
The Lands End Movement
Lands’ End, Dodgeville’s most famous business, is known worldwide for their classic American clothing, gifts, luggage, and home furnishings. First formed in the early 1960s in Chicago as a mail-order yachting supply company, it quickly expanded into the company we all know and love and in short order, made its way to its true home –Dodgeville.
Small Community Feel
Although the neighborhoods and subdivisions are spread out throughout the city, Dodgeville still maintains that small community feel. Mainly because of the support from the resident’s towards the many amenities, both local and franchise operated; which give options for everyone.
