Explore Belleville
Ranked the “most affordable, top-ranked suburb” of the Greater Madison area, you don’t have to spend much time in the Village of Belleville to see why the people love it so much. The town is split in two by the Sugar River, creating ample opportunities for canoeing and kayaking. And, with Lake Belle View front and center, the outdoor recreational activities are limitless, including wildlife observation, walking and biking, boating, fishing, and more.
Two Counties
Belleville is technically in two counties; Dane and Green. The distinction between the two is little to none, as they are still in the Belleville School District. If someone is looking for the amenities of nearby Fitchburg and Verona, but wants more of the affordability, along with a great school district, Belleville is the perfect place.
UFOs Equal Fun
Three decades ago, folks in Belleville saw some mysterious lights in the night sky. While their origin is still unknown, the siting led to Belleville’s annual UFO Day, full of crafts, a parade, a kids’ costume contest, a monster costume ball, tons of kids’ games, and even its very own fun run. Spooky or not, UFO Day is fun for kids of all ages!
