Blue Mounds

Serenity Here; Serenity Now

Explore Blue Mounds

Less than 10 minutes outside of Mount Horeb, and in the same school district, lies Blue Mounds. With Brigham County Park, Blue Mounds State Park, Tyrol Basin, and the Military Ridge State Trail, there’s plenty of outdoor activity to be had here. At True Blue Real Estate we’re very passionate about this little gem of a community, mostly because of the support the locals have given to our business and office, but also to be able to see it grow and become a place many people have loved to call home.

Cave of the Mounds

Cave of the Mounds was accidentally discovered in 1939 by limestone miners. But the history of this “jewel box” of a cave dates back quite a bit further. The limestone which formed the cave is almost 500 million years old! The cave itself is over a million years old and indescribably beautiful. In fact, the cave is so significant that it has been designated a National Natural Landmark!

Adventure

Blue Mounds is home to several preserved parks and the featured Cave of the Mounds, known as the “jewel box” of major american caves. If camping, hiking, biking (there are some serious trails) or picnics with the kids are passions of yours, this is the spot for you.
